Where are you?+
At Via Edoardo Detti 23, in north Florence. It's a short trip from Scandicci, Sesto Fiorentino and Campi Bisenzio, and you'll find parking nearby. The Coop shopping centre in Ponte a Greve is a few steps away.
Are the courts indoor?+
Yes, all 4 courts are covered by a tensile structure, so you can play even when it rains.
When are you open?+
Every day, from 8:00 to 23:30.
How do I book a court?+
With the Playtomic button at the top of the page, or message us on WhatsApp. We usually reply within a few minutes.
How many people play?+
Four, two against two.
What if we're short of players?+
Tell us well in advance. We have WhatsApp groups to find partners and opponents.
How long does a match last?+
90 minutes is the standard. If you need something different, message us and we'll find the best solution for everyone.
Do I need to bring a racket?+
No. Rackets and balls are free to borrow.
What shoes should I wear?+
Padel shoes are the best choice. Clay-court shoes are a good alternative. Running or gym shoes may not give you enough stability.
I've never played. Can I still come?+
Yes. Beginners, intermediate and competitive players all play here. If you want the basics explained, book an introductory lesson with a coach.
Are there changing rooms?+
Yes, men's and women's, with showers.
Can I eat something?+
There's a bar inside the club, and the restaurant Il Papero is in the same sports complex.
Courses and lessons
What's the difference between a course and a lesson?+
A course is a path in a small group, with a fixed weekly slot. A lesson is booked whenever you want: alone, in pairs, in threes or fours, for 60 or 90 minutes. There is also a course for competitive players.
How many students per coach?+
Four at most, so the coach sees and corrects every shot.
Who are the coaches?+
Three FITP federal coaches, with both teaching and playing experience.
How do I get a membership card?+
The card is valid for one season, from September to August. Come to reception with an ID and a valid sports medical certificate. With the card you can book up to 15 days ahead, join the club's social tournaments and get a discount on your matches and with our partners. You also get the official club T-shirt as a gift.
Wheelchair padel
Do I need my own padel wheelchair to try?+
No, we lend you a padel wheelchair to try. Send us a message or call, and we'll pick the time, coach and equipment together.
Is the court accessible?+
Yes, from the entrance to the changing rooms.
Can I play with people who don't use a wheelchair?+
Yes. We use the same courts as traditional padel, with slightly adapted rules, and there are mixed matches open to everyone.
Tournaments
Do you run tournaments?+
Yes, at least 2 or 3 a month, social tournaments and FITP competitions. Follow us on Instagram @rondinellapadelclub to stay up to date.
